Leeds is connected to two major roads, the M1 and M62. Its six major car routes into Leeds city center are the M1 south, M62 east, M62 west, A1 north, and A1 south. It can be reached by car from any point of origin using these car routes, although travelling time can vary.


The major motorways are normally indicated by road signs. Visitors should be careful of one-way streets and narrow roads. Once arriving in leeds it's realistic to hire a car to visit the campus and explore the city. The University of Leeds can be accessed through the north, south, east, and west entrances or through the main university entrance.
